Sadly, this is very true. People steal phones or commit offences with these phones and ship them to other countries for sale.

Buying a UK used phone can make you an accomplice of a crime you know nothing about. Regardless of if you have a purchase receipt. With the use of modern tracking systems, you may get arrested if you take a stolen phone abroad.
